  Coming to Downtown Historic Matewan for its debut performance is the outdoor drama "BATTLE ACROSS THE TUG" .  The play was written by Clifford Whitt of the Matewan Dance Studio with the music written and arranged by Jim Hunt of the Jaguars.  The play will also be directed and produced by the Matewan Dance Studio with the cast made up of citizens for surrounding communities.  

 

 

 

 

 

Featured will be a replica of the gallows on which Ellison (Cotton Top) Mounts was hung during the infamous Hatfield & McCoy Feud in the 1880's.
Also featured will be a replica of Randall "Ranel" McCoy's well where Alifair McCoy was Killed.

mingle with the actors and cast Friday night June 8th for dancing in the streets featuring Eddie Nenni and the Jaguars
and stay for the Fire Works display after the show Saturday night June 9th, 2001.
