Saturday morning, May 6th, 2000, the Tug Valley Road Runners Club invaded Matewan to run the streets of Historic Downtown Matewan.  The Matewan Area Community Action Team hosted the "1st Annual Historic Matewan 5K Run" for runners of all ages.  The "1 Mile Fun Walk" was held on the streets of Matewan as one of the three events during the Historic Matewan 5K Run.  We had eight walkers participating in this first ever One Mile Fun Walk in Matewan.  Congratulations to :
