The
Kiwanis Club of Red Jacket held their Mountain Meal Dinner Theater on
Saturday Night June 10, 2000 in the Herbert B. Akers Community Center in
Red Jacket. Jessie Shepherd, musician and songwriter from Morgantown,
WV entertained the crowd of more than 100 during the
evening. The meal included Artic Char, brown beans, potatoes, green
onions, corn bread, and a selection of wonderful deserts. The Artic
Char was selected because it will be raised at the new and only Mingo
County Fish Hatchery which was dedicated in June of 2000. |
